Jen’s proudest musical accomplishment was mastering all of the voices in the 1985 recording of “We are the World.” She was an inspiration to many whose lives she touched. She was genetically sarcastic and did not suffer fools gladly. Jen loved trivia, board games, Law & Order, and the company of friends and family. She remained close to many of her friends there when she and Steve moved to her hometown to start their family. Jen was a beloved bartender at Our House and Cask’n Flagon. Boston was a second home to Jen, where she lived for several years during and after college. She was fiercely loyal to her family and friends. Family was at the center of Jennifer’s life, especially her children. She spent the last two years proudly working at Advanced Kidney Care of the Hudson Valley, where she became well known for her dedication and commitment to nephrology patients. After earning her Master’s degree, she went on to become a nurse practitioner. During the first wave of COVID, she volunteered to work in the ICU to care for critically ill patients. She worked for years as a registered nurse at Vassar Brothers Medical Center, earning the respect and admiration of both patients and colleagues. Jennifer valued education and had a passion for helping others. She leaves behind her beloved dogs Charlie and Chloe. She had a great love of dogs, especially pugs, which she shared with her daughter, Teagan. In addition to her parents, she is survived by her husband, Steven Sanda her daughter, Teagan, and son, Derek brothers Dan (Sarah), Tom, and Bill, and innumerable aunts, uncles, cousins, nieces, nephews, and friends.
